    You need to start by taking off the air inlet grille panel then removing the wiper drive system module and Wiper Motor crank arm together with the Wiper Motor mounting screws. This dislodges the Wiper Motor from its position in the Wiper Motor module. Place the Wiper Motor onto the Wiper Motor support features before fastening its screws at 10 n.m which equals 89 lb in torque. Add the wiper drive system element into place along with the Wiper Motor crank arm. When servicing the wiper system and pulling the washer fluid line upwards towards the air intake you must reposition it by removing the wheelhouse access panel because it creates interference. Reinstall the air inlet panel before checking that the wiper system functions correctly.

    The air inlet grille panel needs removal before the Wiper Pulse Module replacement can begin. The wiper linkage separator tool (J 39232) creates space between the wiper transmission and wiper motor crank arm to enable Wiper Pulse Module removal. Once you remove all screws holding the Wiper Pulse Module in place you can extract it from the plenum to reach and disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector. Position the new module where the old one was and then attach the wiper motor electrical connector. Put the Wiper Pulse Module into position within the plenum while installing screws and applying 8 n.m (71 lb in) torque on those screws. The wiper linkage installer tool j 39529 enables connection of the wiper transmission to the wiper motor crank arm. The washer fluid line requires careful handling during service because pulling it up from the air inlet grille might cause wiper system interference which needs fluid line adjustment through the access panel at the wheelhouse's lower rear. Afterwards replace the air inlet grille panel and check to ensure the wipers work correctly.
