Blower Motor

A driver-side motor replacement starts with taking out the (I/P) - right side insulator panel. You should then take out the unit from the I/P compartment. Adjust the I/P carrier mounting bolts without totally taking them off to place the blower motor space free. Permanently disconnect the blower motor electrical connector before unlocking and removing the screws that hold the motor in place and removing the old part. Put the replacement blower motor into its designated position and insert all blower motor screws. Tighten the screws to 1.5 Nm torque level. Reattach the blower motor electrical connector and put back the I/P compartment. On completion put the right side I/P insulator in place and fasten the I/P carrier mounting bolts to 25 Nm (and 19 lb).

Start your right-hand drive blower motor replacement by removing the left insulator panel. Next you need to disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Twist the I/P mounting bolts only slightly from their position and move the I/P carrier left and right to open up room for motor removal. Remove the power connection from both the blower motor and the blower motor processor. Unscrew the screws which support the blower motor and pull out the motor as a single unit. Put the blower motor into its correct position and install two blower motor screws. Tighten these screws to 1.5 Nm torque (13 pound inch). Connect both the blower motor electrical plug and processor electrical panel. Insert and lock the I/P compartment before placing the left insulator panel. Secure the I/P carrier bolts and thread them to 25 Newton meters or 19 pound feet of torque.

Start the process of installing the Auxiliary Blower Motor by taking away the left body side trim access panel. First disconnect the blower motor electrical connector before removing the blower motor screws that are attached to the HVAC module to finally extract the blower motor from that housing. Begin by installing the blower motor into the HVAC module while paying attention to fastener caution to avoid vehicle damage. The blower motor installation requires securing it with screws tightened to 1 Nm (9 lb in) followed by plugging in the electrical connector and installing the left body side trim access panel.

Before replacing the blower motor you need to disassemble the right closeout insulator panel and instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Detach both electrical connectors of the blower motor and blower motor processor. To make room for the blower motor replacement remove its screws plus the air inlet housing bolts. Begin motor replacement by fitting in the blower unit and tightening stainless steel screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). After you install the air inlet housing bolts into place, ensure they reach the torque value of 6 N.m (53 lb in). Fit in the blower motor accessories and link both its electrical connections and the blower motor connector. Restall the I/P component and the right protective panel to complete the installation.

Install the blower motor screws and tighten them to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

Reconnect the blower motor electrical connector and reinstall the left body side trim access panel.

Tighten them to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

Take out the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.

Begin by removing the left body side trim access panel.

Reconnect the blower motor processor electrical connector and the blower motor electrical connector.

Take out the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.
