Seat Cushion Pad

You need to remove the front seat from the vehicle before replacing or removing its cushion cover and pad. The initial step requires adjusting the lumbar knob to the minimal support position and then removing it from the seat. After removing the seat cushion pan bolts the next step includes disconnection of J-hook retainers while also unfastening the J-strip at the cushion's rear portion but ensure no damage occurs to hook and loop fasteners because it could demand foam pad substitution. The seat cushion pad needs removal through hook and loop retainer release before the pad can move onto the frame surface. To install the seat cushion pad you should place it on the frame before pushing down to activate the hook and loop retainers. Fasten the J-strip at the cushion cover rear section onto the seat pan while connecting its J-hook retainers. The seat adjusters should receive the seat cushion pan as you install and tighten the frame bolts to 12 N.m (9 lb ft). The presence of lumbar support requires users to pull the lumbar cable sleeve forward while using a sharp-bladed tool to make a small slit at the lumbar actuator position on the cover. Then users should push the lumbar knob firmly into place before checking its proper operation. The front seat back requires installation completion as a final step.

Take the seat cushion pad off the frame.

Disconnect the remaining cushion cover retainers from the rear seat cushion frame, then feed the anchor through to the top of the seat cushion.
