    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose for the Reservoir Inlet on Chevrolet Prizm? Posted by Customer
    A:
Siphoning power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir should be the first task before starting to replace the inlet pipe/hose of the Power Steering Reservoir. After that, place a drain pan underneath the vehicle to collect spilled fluid. Unbolt the 2 pipe clip bolts followed by cautious hose clamp de-tightening of the inlet and outlet connections of the power steering fluid reservoir. Disengage the hoses from both sides of the power steering fluid reservoir after which you should loosen and detach the outlet hose near the power steering pump. The inlet pipe/hose of the intermediate outlet pipe requires loosening the clamp before removal of the pipe from the outlet. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir pipe/hose with its clips in addition to the outlet rear pipe from the vehicle. Begin by mounting the power steering fluid reservoir pipe/hose together with its clips followed by the outlet rear pipe to the vehicle while keeping the 2 pipe clip bolts loose. You must fasten the inlet pipe/hose to the intermediate outlet pipe using the hose clamp and proceed to attach the outlet hose to the power steering pump while using the hose clamp for its attachment. Fit the two hoses onto the power steering fluid reservoir while using two hose clamps for attachment then proceed by tightening the 2 pipe clip bolts to 5.4 nm (48 inch lbs.). The procedure includes adding power steering fluid to the reservoir before performing a power steering system bleeding operation.
