How to replace the Power Steering Hose Outlet Pipe on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

The power steering fluid removal requires using a siphon on the reservoir followed by loosening the hose clamp on the intermediate outlet pipe. You should first loosen the clamp on the power steering gear outlet hose at the intermediate outlet pipe . The power steering gear outlet pipe features two parts: a pipe which joins to the steering gear and a hose which attaches to the intermediate outlet pipe. After removing the hose section from the power steering gear outlet pipe detach it from the intermediate outlet pipe followed by removing the power steering gear outlet pipe from the steering gear . When attaching the power steering gear outlet pipe to the steering gear for installation tighten the pipe fitting to 13 nm (9 ft. Lbs.). Secure the hose portion of the power steering gear outlet pipe to the intermediate outlet pipe using the hose clamp. Add fluid into the Power Steering Reservoir before bleeding your power steering system.
