    Q:
How to replace the Windshield Washer Pump on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the Washer Pump's service by disconnecting both cruise control and accelerator wires that meet at the solvent reservoir top. Also disconnect the underhood harness from the rear left strut tower bracket and the pump wiring from the front left strut tower bracket. Detach the two top washer solvent container nuts and move the container carefully out of the way to reach the Washer Pump connections. Take the Washer Pump hose off first to drain the washer solvent into a container before disconnecting its power supply connection. Push the Washer Pump onward to break free from the molded tabs on the container before lifting it out of place and disposing of the pump grommet. Press the new Washer Pump grommet into the washer solvent container opening and set the pump down onto it before pushing it straight down to install it properly. Press the pump to lock it onto the molded tabs around the container sides. Finally connect the electrical plug and washer hose to the pump. Fit the washer solvent container onto the two locating studs on the left strut tower and tighten the 2 nuts to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Thread the Washer Pump electrical connector to its front securing point and route the underhood electrical connector to its back anchor on the left strut tower before installing the accelerator and cruise control wires to the washer solvent container top. Put washer solvent into the container and tightly close its lid.
