    Q:
How to replace the power steering pump on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of a Power Steering Pump requires removal of the air cleaner assembly alongside the Drive Belt along with the Power Steering Pump pulley. Disconnect the harness clip from the pump body and position a drain pan under the vehicle. First disconnect power steering pressure hoses from the pump and break loose its mounting bolts before removing it from the vehicle. After setting the Power Steering Pump into position you must install its mounting bolts until they reach a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). After draining the system you should attach and tighten the power steering pressure hoses to a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Then remove the drain pan. The procedure ends with connecting the oil pressure sensor harness clip while installing the Power Steering Pump pulley and Drive Belt before putting on the air cleaner assembly. Terminating the power steering system bleed procedure results in leak and failure inspection.

    Q:
How to replace the power steering pump on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must uninstall the air cleaner assembly followed by the Drive Belt along with the Power Steering Pump pulley for Power Steering Pump replacement. Disengage the harness clip connecting the oil pressure sensor from the pump body before directing the drain container underneath the vehicle. The first step requires removing the mounting bolts while also disconnecting the power steering pressure hoses from the pump to extract the Power Steering Pump. Place the new Power Steering Pump before securing its mounting bolts while tightening them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Secure the drain pan away from the vehicle and fasten power steering pressure hoses using a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the oil pressure sensor harness clip before putting on the Power Steering Pump pulley and Drive Belt followed by the air cleaner assembly. The power steering system requires bleeding followed by a leak inspection before completing the process.
