Warm the emblem/nameplate with a J 25070 Heat Gun by running the gun 152 mm (6 inches) above the surface for 30 seconds in rotating strokes. Use a flat-bladed plastic tool to remove the emblem/nameplate from its panel position then use 3M Product # 07501 or equivalent to clean all adhesive residue from the panel and back of the emblem/nameplate. Clean the targeted panel using soap then water followed by absorption using a lint-free cloth. Use masking tape or a magnetic strip guide placed 35.0 mm (+/- 2 mm) from both top and bottom edges at 1125.0 mm (+/- 2 mm) horizontally on the panel. Warm the panel using J 25070 Heat Gun when body temperature remains below 66°F. Stick double-coated acrylic foam tape like 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape while staying away from touching the tape with your hands and keeping it away from dirt. Position the emblem/nameplate by peeling its back adhesive and holding against masking tape or magnetic strip. Press it strongly for 30 seconds to adhere well and then take off masking tape or magnetic strip.

Measure and mark out the area behind the grill for drilling holes and mounting brackets into the bottom of the pad portion of the emblem using a small flat-bladed tool, then release the retaining clips found on the rear of the emblem to separate and pull the emblem away from the grille . For installation align the emblem with openings on the grille and push it rearward till retaining clips are fully seated. Finally, re-install the upper grille baffle.

Align the emblem with the openings on the grille and push it rearward until the retaining clips are fully seated.
