    Q:
How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the door on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to set alignment tape on the door surface to fit the new emblem properly but also to secure the mounting surface before you start uninstalling. Heat the emblem/nameplate thoroughly with J 25070 and move the heat gun in circles for 30 seconds. You can take out the panel surface emblem/nameplate with a plastic flat tool. Before attaching the new emblem/nameplate use a modeling adhesive remove tool from 3M(TM) part number 07502 or its equal for metal body parts but employ VMP naphtha and a lint-free cloth to clean plastic panels. Prepare the clean and dry space before placing tape at the marked front side door nameplate position. Heat the installation surface between 80 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit (27 and 41 degrees Celsius) using the J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070). Also warm the emblem/nameplate to 85 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit (29 to 32 degrees Celsius). apply full pressure to stick the nameplate directly onto the placement signs while ensuring it fits properly by removing the protective liner from its back side. Take off the protective tape cover from the installation area.
