    Q:
How to remove and replace the adhesive retained molding and emblem on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start with mold and emblem removal by cleaning a dust-free work area since dust affects adhesive performance. Wipe the adhesive placement area with flash naphtha or an isopropyl alcohol water solution before making it dry completely. Keep the body surface temperature between 27°C (80°F) and 41°C (105°F) when needed. Use moderate heat on the mounting item while maintaining a temperature range from 29°C (80°F) to 32°C (90°F). Take the protection off the adhesive section. To install appliques on the item use a force of 3 to 10 lbs to attach the molding to the body surface before placing 0.12mm (0.005in) thick plastic tape across the area and applying high pressure until the adhesive wets out at about 75 percent. Place the emblem clamp at its center position on the body surface while using foam padding between the clamp and emblem to avoid damage.

    Q:
How to replace the door emblem/nameplate on Chevrolet Tahoe? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by applying tape around the emblem/nameplate area to shield and keep it aligned during the process. Focus the heat gun at J 25070 aimed from 152 mm (6.0 in) away while moving in circles over the emblem/nameplate surface for 30 seconds. Use a plastic tool to delicate remove the door emblem from its surface after softening it with a heat gun. Take 3M(TM) scotch brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501) or its comparable product to wipe away any remaining adhesive from both the door panel surface and the nameplate backing. Use varnish makers and painters (VMP) naptha to clean the door surface for application. When the design marker points are unavailable position new tape for installation. Heat the door surface to 70°F using the heat gun (J 25070) and avoid sticking the emblem/nameplate backing to the hot surface. Steadily put the front part of the emblem/nameplate on the door panel surface as you strip its backing. Hold the emblem/nameplate against the door panel surface until it sticks well before taking off protective tape from the unmarked panel areas.

    Q:
How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the end gate on Chevrolet Suburban 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need two items to replace the emblem/nameplate on the end gate: a Heat Gun (J 25070) and 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501). Apply tape as a shield over the endgate top area before preparing for installation. Position the Heat Gun at 152 mm (6.0 inch) distance and move it in circular motions to heat the emblem/nameplate for 30 seconds. Use a plastic tool to take out the emblem/nameplate from the endgate and wipe off all adhesive from both parts with the 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501). Clean the endgate panel using varnish makers and painters (VMP) naptha to prepare for this step. Place tape when the emblem/nameplate location has no marking. Heat the endgate panel to reach at least 21°C (70°F) using the Gun (J 25070) while avoiding contact with the emblem(QIcon TEXT) adhesive side. You should add the front end of the emblem to the endgate panel surface by placing it there while also taking off the remaining backing. Gently press and roll the emblem/nameplate part to bond it properly and check its balance before removing the tape from around the endgate plate.

    Q:
How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the end gate on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Obtaining tools to replace the emblem/nameplate at the end gate (excluding RPO B4U) begins with building the following list of tools: Use Heat Gun J 25070 together with 3M(TM) P/N 07501 Molding Adhesive Remover Disk from 3M(TM) Scotch Brite. Heat Gun (J 25070) and 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501). Use protective tape first then position it around the emblem area before beginning. Use a Heat Gun (J 25070) to heat the emblem/nameplate from 152 mm away (6.0 inches) for about 30 seconds in circular motions. Use a plastic flat tool for careful endgate surface emblem/nameplate removal. Clean both the endgate panel surface and the emblem/nameplate rear surface completely free of adhesive by using a 3M(TM) P/N 07501 Molding Adhesive Remover Disk in combination with varnish makers and painters (VMP) naptha. When no marks indicate the emblem/nameplate position, install tape. Use the Heat Gun (J 25070) to warm the endgate surface to 21°C (70°F) and above while maintaining contact between both the emblem/nameplate and adhesive backing. Press the front side of the emblem/nameplate onto the endgate panel as you gradually remove its backing. Use hand pressure to press-roll the emblem/nameplate until it sticks properly then check bonding before removing the tape from the endgate emblem area.

How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the pickup cab on Chevrolet Tahoe? Posted by Customer
    A:
Apply tape to protect the pickup cab area before you heat the existing emblem. Then use the plastic tool to remove it. Place the heat gun J25070 at a distance of 152 mm or 6.0 inches from the emblem/nameplate surface to warm it for 30 seconds while moving in circular motions. Use a specific plastic tool to carefully remove the emblem/nameplate from the pickup cab panel surface. Then clean the front and back of the emblem/nameplate using a 3M scotch brite molding adhesive remover disk according to the instructions on the package or an equivalent method. Apply varnish making and painting naptha to clean the pickup cab panel area. Place tape to the specified dimensions if the emblem/nameplate location has no defined spot. Heat the pickup cabin surface using the gun to reach 21°C (70°F) but never touch the emblem adhesive pads during this process. Set the emblem/nameplate on the pickup panel with the front side while taking off its backing material. Press the emblem/nameplate throughout its surface to help bonding happen and check for good adherence before removing tape from the area around it.
