A complete safety check of the seat belt system requires both inspection and necessary repairs after any collision occurs. Any seatbelt system exposed to automatic restraint device deployment from a collision must receive complete replacement. All restraint systems for adults together with those securing child restraints, infant carriers, and booster seats need replacement according to the LATCH system and top tether anchorage requirements. The replacement of seat belts must include built-in child restraints and LATCH system components as well as adult seat belts when any part of these safety devices shows signs of tension or wear or displays damage.
