    The first step to replace the rear door window regulator requires removal of both the rear door trim panel and rear door water deflector. Use the sufficient height of the rear door window to reach the window peg retainer before removing its connecting nylon peg to the regulator. Place tape across the window frame that extends to its highest possible position. The electrical connector must be detached before removing bolts from the regulator motor and lifting the motor to release retaining bolts from their seat positions. After extracting the rear door window regulator bolts you should proceed by removing the regulator from the rear door opening. To install the rear door window regulator you must position it and its motor in the door unit while using the information from Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions as you position the regulator then install the mounting bolts before tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). After reconnecting the electrical connector users must remove tape from the rear door window then they should lower the window just enough to install the door window. Use two bolts to attach the rear door window regulator (1, 2) before torquing them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Place back the rear door water deflector followed by the rear door trim panel.
