Before replacing the Remote Power Steering Reservoir you need to position a drain pan underneath it. Pull off the cap from the reservoir before you disconnect the reservoir from its bracket. Start the replacement task by removing the reservoir and outlet hoses (4,6) from the reservoir. Installation requires connecting the reservoir and outlet hoses back to their appropriate positions on the reservoir followed by restraining the reservoir onto the bracket. Place the drain pan underneath then refill the reservoir before putting a new cap on it, then empty the drain pan afterward. Power steering system bleeding must be performed as a final step.

The first step for remote Power Steering Reservoir replacement starts by placing the drain pan beneath the reservoir before removing its capstick. Separate the Power Steering Reservoir from its Power Steering Reservoir bracket and take off both the Power Steering Reservoir hose along with the power steering return hose from the reservoir. You should begin by putting a drain pan under the reservoir before removing it from the vehicle. Then attach the new Power Steering Reservoir along with reconnecting Power Steering Reservoir hose and power steering return hose. Reconnect the reservoir to its bracket after securing it while you remove the drain container before bleeding the steering system.

Detach the power steering fluid reservoir from the power steering fluid reservoir bracket and remove the power steering reservoir hose and the power steering return hose from the power steering fluid reservoir.

Install the new reservoir retaining clips, ensuring the retaining clip tabs fully engage with the hydraulic pump housing.
