    In order to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor, first, lift and support the vehicle. Remove the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor then proceed to remove the retaining stud and the sensor by pulling it out straight and without doing any damage to the case. Clean and dry the vehicle speed sensor and attach it with the retaining bolt, fastening the stud to 12 Nm (97 inch lbs.). Reconnect the electrical connector on the sensor to have it back out, remove the safety stands then lower the vehicle.
