    In order to replace the ife sensor, the sir system should be disabled first. Remove the grille and disconnect the head lamp wire hadness from the retaining clip and raise and suspend it to expose the front end sensor. Remove the sensor assembly from the frame by loosening bolts that are securing the sensor to the frame. Place the sensor part above the front Bumper, and remove the retaining bolts and protective cover from the sensor. Prior to removing the sensor from the vehicle, remove the connector-position assurance (CPA) from the sensor electrical connector and detach the sensor electrical connector. For mounting purpose free the mounting surface, align the sensor assembly level to the front Bumper and attach the sensor electrical connector. Screw the connector-position assurance (CPA) back onto the sensor-electrical connector, along with the retaining bolts and protective cover. Place the sensor assembly horizontally to frame with the arrow on sensor facing the front of vehicle. Install the 2 bolts that retain the sensor assembly to the frame and tighten them to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Move the headlamp wire harness to the retaining clip and fix it before replacing the grille and enable the sir system.

    Before replacing the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor users must disable the SIR system. You can reach the side impact sensor by removing the front door trim panel and carefully peeling the rear section of the water deflector from the door. Begin by releasing the side impact sensor retaining screws while removing the sensor's electrical connector from its connection point on the impact sensor. Clean the surface where the side impact sensor will mount by removing all dirt, grease, and impurities that are present on it following the sensor's removal from the door. Set the side impact sensor flat against the door before hooking up the electrical connector to the sensor. Spaces left-hand screws on each side impact sensor before tightening them with 8 N.m (71 lb in) torque. Board the water deflector to complete the door before adding the door trim panel and restarting the SIR system.
