How to replace the Air Bag Sensor in the Front End on Chevrolet Colorado?

Firstly, to replace the Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor, it is first required to deactivate the SIR system. Next, remove the grille and loose the fasteners that hold the front discriminating sensors to the radiator support. Gently pull the sensor assembly from the radiator support and orient it for the purpose of locating the electrical connection. Remove the connector-position assurance from the connector of the sensor and disconnect that connector from the electrical sensor to remove the sensor from the car. For the installation, clean any dirt, grease or contaminants of the mounting areas and position the sensor close to the radiator support and connect the sensor electrical connector. Reinstall a CPA to the sensor electrical connector and connect the sensor assembly with the radiator support. Secure the discriminator sensor assembly, using the 95N fim Nm plugrattens. Tighten these bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Lastly, reinstall the grille and enable the SIR system.

Before replacing the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor users must disable the SIR system. You can reach the side impact sensor by removing the front door trim panel and carefully peeling the rear section of the water deflector from the door. Begin by releasing the side impact sensor retaining screws while removing the sensor's electrical connector from its connection point on the impact sensor. Clean the surface where the side impact sensor will mount by removing all dirt, grease, and impurities that are present on it following the sensor's removal from the door. Set the side impact sensor flat against the door before hooking up the electrical connector to the sensor. Spaces left-hand screws on each side impact sensor before tightening them with 8 N.m (71 lb in) torque. Board the water deflector to complete the door before adding the door trim panel and restarting the SIR system.

Gently pull the sensor assembly from the radiator support and orient it for the purpose of locating the electrical connection. Remove the connector-position assurance from the connector of the sensor and disconnect that connector from the electrical sensor to remove the sensor from the car. For the installation, clean any dirt, grease or contaminants of the mounting areas and position the sensor close to the radiator support and connect the sensor electrical connector. Reinstall a CPA to the sensor electrical connector and connect the sensor assembly with the radiator support. Secure the discriminator sensor assembly, using the 95N fim Nm plugrattens. Tighten these bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Lastly, reinstall the grille and enable the SIR system.
