How to replace the Multifunction Turn Signal Switch Housing on Chevrolet Colorado?

You must take out the turn signal multifunction switch before replacing the housing. Locate and uninstall the bolts holding the multifunction turn signal switch housing before extracting the component from its location. Place the multifunction turn signal switch housing in position while keeping to the fastener notice for safe handling. Fasten the housing using bolts and tighten it to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in) torque value before placing back the turn signal multifunction switch.

How to service and repair the turn signal switch on Chevrolet Malibu?

To work on the Turn Signal Switch you should disconnect the car battery and turn off the sir system. You need to unfasten the trim over your Steering Column then unscrew the multifunction switch torx head screw and disconnect all electrical pins attached to the switch. Take out the multifunction switch unit from its column position. Insert the multifunction switch over the Steering Column when you push the spring loaded horn pin down then connect all electrical cables to the switch. Fit the torx screw to the multifunction switch and tighten it to 4 nm (35 inch lbs). Reattach the trim cover before enabling the sir system and connecting the Battery Cable negatively. Close the exam by testing if the multifunction switch works as intended.

How to Service and Repair the Turn Signal Switch on Chevrolet Impala?

You need to take off the steering column trim covers to change the Turn Signal Switch. Replace the abrasion sleeve to the steering column wire harness assembly while keeping track of its connector for reinstall later. Move the wire harness assembly free from its strap and remove the Turn Signal Switch connection with the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Gently push both cables of the Turn Signal Switch from its bulkhead connector housing. Take bolts from their base in the Turn Signal Switch unit then remove this switch from the steering column. Fit the Turn Signal Switch onto the steering column tilt head device with its electrical contact surface touching the turn signal cancel cam element. Insert the bolts a and b through the Turn Signal Switch and fasten them by turning 1 nm (11 lb in). Insert the two connectors of the Turn Signal Switch into the bulkhead and connect it to the module coil connector of the inflatable restraint steering wheel column assembly. Reinsert the abrasion sleeve onto the steering column wire harness assembly but keep all wires of the ignition lock cylinder outside through its middle area. After connecting both sides of the turn signal assembly to the bulkhead connector place the wire harness assembly into the strap then put back both trim panels.

Insert the multifunction switch over the Steering Column when you push the spring loaded horn pin down then connect all electrical cables to the switch. Fit the torx screw to the multifunction switch and tighten it to 4 nm (35 inch lbs). Reattach the trim cover before enabling the sir system and connecting the Battery Cable negatively. Close the exam by testing if the multifunction switch works as intended.

Move the wire harness assembly free from its strap and remove the Turn Signal Switch connection with the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Gently push both cables of the Turn Signal Switch from its bulkhead connector housing. Take bolts from their base in the Turn Signal Switch unit then remove this switch from the steering column. Fit the Turn Signal Switch onto the steering column tilt head device with its electrical contact surface touching the turn signal cancel cam element. Insert the bolts a and b through the Turn Signal Switch and fasten them by turning 1 nm (11 lb in). Insert the two connectors of the Turn Signal Switch into the bulkhead and connect it to the module coil connector of the inflatable restraint steering wheel column assembly. Reinsert the abrasion sleeve onto the steering column wire harness assembly but keep all wires of the ignition lock cylinder outside through its middle area. After connecting both sides of the turn signal assembly to the bulkhead connector place the wire harness assembly into the strap then put back both trim panels.
