    Q:
How to replace the instrument panel (I/P) dimmer switch on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must first remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate to reach the fog lamp switch before you start replacing the instrument panel (I/P) dimmer switch. A flat-bladed tool can release the retainers which hold the fog lamp/dimmer switch housing in place before removing the housing from the trim plate. Use the same tool to release the retainers on the dimmer lamp switch then remove the dimmer lamp switch from the fog lamp/dimmer switch housing. Place the dimmer lamp switch into the fog lamp/dimmer switch housing before securing it by pushing the switch until it is fully seated. Place the fog lamp/dimmer switch housing onto the instrument panel accessory trim plate then firmly press for complete seating before reattaching the trim plate.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair a Wiper Switch on a Tilt Column on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable to work on the windshield washer switch. Turn off the supplemental inflatable restraint system activation before service. You need to remove the Steering Wheel along with the steering column trim parts. Erase the multifunction switch and unfasten the 2 torx head screws from the windshield Wiper Switch. Pull off the electrical connector from the windshield Wiper Switch area before taking out the switch unit from the column assembly. Reattach the windshield Wiper Switch to the column base and join its electrical connection. Secure the 2 torx head screws onto the windshield Wiper Switch by turning them to 4 nm (36 inch lbs.). Place back the multifunction switch plus steering column trim parts and install the Steering Wheel. Activate sir and restore the negative battery terminal connection. Test if the windshield Wiper Switch is operating correctly at the end.
