Next, pull off the electrical connector at the base of the Distributor and the two screws that hold the Distributor Cap to the housing, throwing away the screws afterward. Pull off the Distributor Cap and then mark the position of the rotor with reference to the Distributor housing and Intake Manifold using a grease pencil. Remove the mounting clamp hold down bolt and redistribute leaving the left in place writing down the rotor will move counter-clockwise about 42 degrees upon removal.
