    A:
The replacement process for the turn signal multifunction switch requires disabling the sir system first. Pull away the steering column trim covers before disconnecting the multifunction switch electrical connectors. You must first separate the wiring harness from the steering column harness strap before disconnecting multifunction switch electrical connectors on the steering column wiring harness. Detach the multifunction switch retaining screws to remove the switch from the steering column. Take out the sir coil from the steering column shaft. The installation process involves mounting the multifunction switch to the steering column tilt head where the Turn Signal Switch electrical contact should touch the horn ring. Tighten the multifunction switch screws up to 3 n.m (26 lb in) torque spec. Attach the multifunction switch electrical connectors into the bulkhead connector while connecting the multifunction switch connector to the sir coil connector. New wire harness straps must secure the steering column wire harness before attaching the wire harness to its strap. After attaching the sir coil onto the steering column shaft install the upper section along with the lower trim covers. Finally, enable the sir system.
