How to replace the Headlight Switch on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by using a plastic flat-bladed tool to release the open-close retainers which are located at the right edge of the instrument panel (I/P). The access opening cover can be pulled toward the back on the left side of this panel. You should unhook the front side of the access opening cover from behind the hinge pillar before removing it. After unscrewing the headlamp switch you must gently move the switch toward the outboard position to reach the electrical connector before disconnecting it. The installation process involves connecting the electrical connector to the headlamp switch before aligning switch positioning tabs to fit into the i/p. Then gently press the switch into its housing. First tighten the two headlamp switch screws to 1.8 n.m (16 lb in) after positioning the forward edge of the left i/p access opening cover behind the hinge pillar. When completing installation the access opening cover retainers should be inserted into slots found on the i/p trim pad before a final firm press to secure them.

How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
First disable the SIR system by following the correct procedure. Take off the steering column trim panels and keep track of the connector emerging from the abrasion sleeve of the stern column wire harness. First remove the wire harness strap bindings and detach the wire harness assembly from it.Disconnect the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly from its connection to the SIR system coil. To detach the system safely precede removing the two connectors from the bulkhead connector and taking out the two pan head tapping screws from the Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly. Install the Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly on top of the Steering Column Tilt Head by setting its electrical contact against the Turn Signal Cancel Cam. Attach the two screws (Pan Head Tapping Screw) by fitting them first then tightening the top screw to 3 Nmtorque while adjusting the side screw to 7 N.mtorque. Insert both turn signal and multifunction switch assembly connectors into bulkhead connector space and join the connectors to SIR coil interface. Fit the steering column wire harness assembly back into place while making sure both metal pins belong to the ignition cylinder case wires and their connector. Install the wire harness assembly into the wire harness strap while putting back upper and lower trim pieces before enabling the SIR system.

    Q:
How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before you replace the Turn Signal Switch you need to deactivate SIR system mode. Remove all the trim pieces from the top and bottom part of the steering column then install the driver side harness sleeve back onto its housing while documenting the connector location for reassembly. Pull the wire harness assembly out of its strap before taking off the turn signal and switch assembly connector from its connection with the SIR system coil. Pull the two connectors from your turn signal and switch assembly so they leave the bulkhead connection. Pull the turn signal and switch assembly from the steering column tilt head assembly by removing its two pan head tapping screws. Fit the turn signal and switch assembly onto the steering column tilt head assembly and let the electrical contact rest on top of the turn signal cancel cam assembly. Secure the assembly by turning the two pan head tapping screws until they reach 1 N.m (9 lb in). Insert the two connectors into the bulkhead connector followed by connecting the turn signal and switch assembly to the SIR coil connector. Place the abrasion sleeve back on the steering column wire harness assembly while placing the ignition lock cylinder case wires and connector correctly. Insert the wire harness assembly into its holding strap before replacing both trim panels and turning on the SIR system.
