    Q:
How to replace the Turn Signal Switch and multifunction switch on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before starting to replace the turn signal and multifunction switch you need to disable SIR system functions and take correct safety measures. Isolate the wire harness strap from its mountings by taking off the upper and lower trim pieces. Keep track of where the connector lies within its protective sleeve to help with reinstallation. Pull both connectors out from the bulkhead connection while removing their connection to the SIR system coil. Use your fingers to take out the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly which connects to the steering column goal assembly. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly on top of the steering column tilt head assembly with 2 pan head screws. Tighten side screw to 7 N.m (62 lb in) and top screw to 3 N.m (30 lb in). Push both connectors into the bulkhead module and link the assembly connector to the SIR coil. Install the wire harness assembly back into its position at the wire harness strap. Make sure to place the abrasion sleeve correctly between the ignition lock wires and their connector exiting through the center area. Reinstall top and bottom trim parts while making the SIR system operational once more.
