How to replace the front air bag sensor on Chevrolet Colorado?

Before installing the inflatable restraint front end sensor you must disable the SIR system. Start by removing the grille then loosen fastener attachments between the front discrimination sensors and radiator support before pulling out the sensor assembly from the support. Start by moving the sensor assembly to access its electrical connector where you should remove the connector-position assurance (CPA) and disconnect the sensor electrical connector before extracting the sensor from the vehicle. Clean all mounting surfaces completely before installing the sensor by placing it near the radiator support and connecting its electrical connector. Position the sensor assembly on the radiator support while installing the CPA onto the electrical connector before locking it in place with 2 fasteners tightened to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Afterward reset the SIR system while reinstalling the grille.
