How to replace the Air Bag Sensor in the Front End on 2007 Chevrolet Colorado?

First, disable the SIR system to replace the Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor. Take out the grille and loosen the fasteners that hold the front discriminative sensors to the radiator support and then remove the sensor assembly. Position the sensor assembly to access the electrical connector, remove the con- nector-position assurance (CPA), and disconnect the sensor electrical connector with the sensor before taking it out of the vehicle. For its installation, you should clean the mounting surfaces, mount the sensor close-to the radiator support, and connect the sensor electrical connector. Mount the CPA onto the sensor electrical connector, and then fix the sensor assembly to the radiator support. Install the 2 fasteners, securing the discriminating sensor assembly by tightening the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in), and, finally, reinstall the grille and turn on the SIR system.
