How to replace the side impact Air Bag Sensor on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

To replace the side impact sensor, you first need to disable SIR system. Remove front door trim panel, loosen the 2 inflatable restraint side impact sensor fasteners and take the inflatable restraint side impact sensor from the door. Disconnect the inflatable restraint side-impact sensor yellow 2-way harness connector by unsnapping the connector position assurance (CPA). Connecting the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way harness connector to the inflatable restraint side impact sensor then connect the CPA onto the connector for installation. Next, install the inflatable restraint side impact sensor back onto the door and secure with the fasteners , tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in) using only hand tools. Lastly, install the door trim panel and turn the SIR system on.
