    Begin by raising and supporting the vehicle and then proceed to remove the Brake Drum before shoe replacement. When releasing the hook end of the adjuster spring from the tab on the adjuster actuator also remove the straight end from the Brake Shoe with a cautious touch. The Brake Shoe operation begins by clearing out the adjuster actuator and return spring before progressing to the park brake cable removal from the park brake actuator lever and subsequent removal of Brake Shoe hold-down springs and retainers. Separate the adjuster from the brake shoes and the park brake actuator lever. After that, remove the horseshoe clip holding the park brake actuator lever to the Brake Shoe prior to taking out the park brake actuator lever along with its wave washer from the Brake Shoe. Trim all components of the drum brake system using denatured alcohol and check for damage or leaks while replacing all defective items including Wheel Cylinder units for fluid leakage and damaged dust boots. High-temperature silicone brake lubricant needs to be spread thinly onto the backing plate Brake Shoe contact points and adjuster screw threads as well as the adjuster socket diameter before assembly. Fasten the park brake actuator lever to the pivot pin by using the horseshoe clip for securing it. The installation order starts with attaching brake shoes to the brake backing plate before installing hold-down pins and Brake Shoe springs together with retainers. Before attaching the park brake cable to the park brake actuator lever be sure that the adjuster ropriate engagement with the Brake Shoe and park brake actuator . Before installation place lubricant on the Brake Shoe interface with the adjuster actuator and put the adjuster actuator into position with the Brake Shoe. Operating functionality of the adjuster should be tested by stretched brake shoes using the park brake actuator lever to open and close the shoes for adjuster lever movement. Lower the vehicle afterward fixing the Brake Shoe position and adjusting park brake cable then attaching the Brake Drum.
