    Q:
How to replace the Wheel Hub Bolt on a disc brake on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by supporting the lifted vehicle to replace the Wheel Hub Bolt on disc brakes. First remove the tire with wheel assembly then separate the brake rotor from the system. Use the ball joint remover (J 43631) to remove and throw away the damaged Wheel Hub Bolt. The Wheel Hub Bolt installation into the wheel bearing hub requires sufficient washers for effective drawing of the bolt into place. Install the wheel nut so its flat surface contacts the washers then use torque pressure to push the Wheel Hub Bolt completely through the bearing hub flange. After tightening the wheel nut to draw the bolt into the hub position remove both the wheel nut and the washers. After reinstalling the brake rotor you should install the tire and wheel assembly before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Wheel Hub Bolt in a 5-stud pattern on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacing the Wheel Hub Bolt in a 5-stud pattern by supporting the raised vehicle. Detach the wheel and tire before taking out the brake caliper and bracket together as a unit. You should then remove the brake rotor. Turn the bearing keep to create space between your new bolt and steering knuckle parts. Unscrew the Wheel Hub Bolt from its bearing hub position using the ball joint remover tool j 43631 and remove it. Place the new bolt with hardware through the bearing/hub assembly keeping the fitment stationary until it enters the hub. Turn the Wheel Hub Bolt into place with the flat surface touching washer stacks until its end rests firmly against the flange. Place the brake rotor and the brake caliper unit back in place after cleaning their wheel nut and washers. Put the new tire and wheel combination on the vehicle and let it down to its normal height.
