Interlock Solenoid

Begin the control and Shift Solenoid service or repair process by removing the transmission oil pan with filter while keeping the Valve Body intact unless servicing the pressure control solenoid requires removal of the 1-2 accumulator. The internal wiring harness electrical connectors of the transmission fluid pressure switch , 1-2 shift control solenoid , 2-3 shift control solenoid , pressure control solenoid , tcc pwm solenoid , and 3-2 control solenoid should be disconnected. You should start by taking off the pressure control solenoid retainer followed by the pressure control solenoid then proceed with removing the retainers and solenoids for both 1-2 and 2-3 shifts before completing with the 3-2 control solenoid retainer and solenoid. The 3-2 control solenoid installation must start followed by the retainer and then install the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids with their respective retainers. The pressure control solenoid installation requires correct placement of electrical tabs facing outward before securing the solenoid retainer with its retaining bolt tightened to 11 nm (97 inch lbs.). Attach the internal wiring harness electrical connectors onto the transmission fluid pressure switch and the 1-2 shift control solenoid , 2-3 shift control solenoid , pressure control solenoid , tcc pwm solenoid and 3-2 control solenoid . The 1-2 accumulator and transmission oil pan and filter should be reinstalled during the completion of the procedure.

Service and repair of the Shift Solenoid starts with Transmission Pan along with filter removal as well as the 1-2 accumulator detachment. You must disconnect all electrical connectors attached to the internal harness of the transmission fluid pressure switch and 1-2 shift control solenoid and 2-3 shift control solenoid and pressure control solenoid and tcc pwm solenoid and 3-2 control solenoid. Proceed with removing the pressure control solenoid retainer then extracting the pressure control solenoid from its position. Move the retainers of the 1-2 and 2-3 shift control solenoids before withdrawing these solenoids. The technicians remove the 3-2 control solenoid along with its retainer. You should start by installing the 3-2 control solenoid followed by its retainer before mounting the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids and their retainers. The pressure control solenoid installation requires orientation of electrical tabs toward the outboard position before the addition of the pressure control solenoid retainer and its retaining bolt which should be torqued to 11 nm (97 inch lbs.). Install the Transmission Pan while reconnecting electrical harnesses to the fluid pressure switch and shift control solenoids of 1-2, 2-3, and pressure control solenoids, tcc pwm solenoid, and 3-2 control solenoid.
