How to Remove and Replace Rear Car Speakers and Tweeter on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to take off the rear speaker involves removing both the quarter rear trim finish panel and the speaker grille. The rear quarter speaker insulator must be removed when changing the tweeter. Drilling out two rear speaker rivets serves for mid-range speaker replacement while uniting the rear speaker rivet allows installing the tweeter. The electrical trim panel connector should be unclipped when necessary. The mid-range speaker requires rotating counterclockwise before extracting it out from the trim panel. The tweeter removal process starts by depressing its retaining tab before unsnapping and removing it from the trim panel. To install the tweeter begin by placing its top flange under trim panel tabs and push the bottom part until retaining tabs secure it. The mid-range speaker installation requires proper alignment with the trim panel followed by a clockwise turn to achieve seating. The tweeter requires one rivet installation while the mid-range speaker requires installation of two rivets. Begin by setting the rear quarter speaker insulator in place followed by speaker grille installation and finally the quarter rear trim finish panel should be applied.
