    Placing the steering column shaft into position starts with SIR system deactivation. First remove the steering column tilt head before extracting the steering shaft from the steering column tilt head assembly. Check the steering column for evidence of accident damage. Populate the steering shaft into its position inside the steering column tilt head assembly before reattaching the steering column tilt head. Finally, enable the SIR system.
