    The sir system requires disabling before starting to replace the Steering Wheel. Place all inflatable restraint wheel units into the removal sequence. The installation process starts by disconnecting the cruise control switch connector when cruise control is present in the Steering Column. First remove the Steering Wheel nut and use the Steering Wheel puller (J 1859-A) and Steering Wheel puller legs (J 42578) for Steering Wheel removal when needed. Install the Steering Wheel by directing it to the position on the Steering Column before tightening the Steering Wheel nut to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). You must first reconnect the cruise control switch connector before installing the inflatable restraint Steering Wheel module when the system has this feature. Finally, enable the sir system.
