    Q:
How to replace the Brake Light Switch on Chevrolet Prizm? Posted by Customer
    A:
Turn off power and remove the knee bolster before working on the Brake Light Switch. Loop the plastic retainer along with the left side air ventilation duct screws from the area between the ip and carrier. Detach the Brake Light Switch electric wire and loosen its only locking nut to remove the Brake Light Switch. Thread the Brake Light Switch onto the brake pedal bracket as a first step before fastening it with one locknut but do not set any torque yet. Adjust the distance between the brake light and test it afterwards before locking the Brake Light Switch with a torque of 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Connect the Brake Light Switch electrical wire and attach both parts of the left air outlet duct using the screw. Place the left side air ventilation duct with its plastic holder followed by putting back the knee bolster before reattaching the negative battery wire.
