The first step to replace the Hazard Warning Switch is to remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. You need to disconnect the hazard switch electrical connector but do it carefully to free the tabs which connect the switch to the trim plate from behind the panel. Remove the switch from the trim plate after releasing all the tabs which hold the switch onto the plate. Position the switch to the trim plate according to its key-way correct indexing before installation. Attach the switch to its place on the trim plate with full seating of all tabs while connecting the hazard switch electrical connector.
