Vent Tube

Begin the crankcase ventilation hose and pipe replacement by taking off the two nuts from the fuel injector sight shield while lifting it from front to remove the rear tab from its bracket. First detach the pcv fresh air tube both from the left camshaft cover and the Throttle Body before you remove the Drive Belt. The following step involves disconnecting the Power Steering Pump retaining bolt while you set the Power Steering Pump in place keeping its hoses secured. Begin by removing the retaining clip from the pcv dirty air tube and disconnecting the tube from the pcv orificed tube and then pull out the tube from the Intake Manifold. Installation requires connecting the pcv dirty air tube to its Intake Manifold fitting before attaching the pcv orificed tube while placing it between the Intake Manifold tabs. The installation process begins with attaching the retaining clip to the Intake Manifold followed by repositioning the Power Steering Pump in the engine valley and inserting the molded wedge into the retaining feature that belongs to the cylinder block. Install the Power Steering Pump retaining bolt and use torque at 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) before fitting the Drive Belt. Connect the pcv fresh air tube by reattaching it to the Throttle Body as well as the left camshaft cover. Push the sight shield toward the inside using the rear tab on the slot of the rear bracket before engaging the shield to pull it downwards until you reach alignment of the Intake Manifold holes and studs. Install the fuel injector sight shield nuts and tighten them to 3 nm (27 inch lbs.).

Start the crankcase ventilation hose replacement by unscrewing the two attaching nuts from the fuel injector sight shield then lifting the shield forward before disconnecting the rear bracket tab. The pcv fresh air tube should be removed from both the left camshaft cover and the Throttle Body. Begin by taking out the Drive Belt along with the Power Steering Pump retaining bolt after which you should position the Power Steering Pump aside without disconnecting the hoses. First detach the pcv dirty air tube retaining clip then disconnect the tube from the PCV Valve before removing it from the Intake Manifold position. To install the system first route the pcv dirty air tube to its appropriate fittings at the Intake Manifold and PCV Valve while inserting it correctly between the Intake Manifold tabs before installing the retaining clip. Reposition the Power Steering Pump in the engine valley by inserting its molded wedge into the retaining feature of the cylinder block and tighten the Power Steering Pump retaining bolt to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Put the Drive Belt in place before reconnecting the fresh air pcv tube to the left camshaft cover and Throttle Body. You should position the rear tab inside the rear bracket slot then harness the sight shield with an inward push. To finish the installation position the sight shield downwards and join the studs from the Intake Manifold to holes in the shield before tightening fuel injector sight shield nuts to 3 nm (27 inch lbs.).
