Start your repair of the oil level indicator and tube by first taking off the oil level indicator combined with the oil level indicator tube bolt and then unplug the coolant surge tank fluid level indicator electrical connector. Disassemble the surge tank by removing its nuts before relocating it towards the Brake Master Cylinder. The maintenance process includes breaking the connection of the master cylinder fluid level sensor electrical connector while removing the mounting nuts to move the master cylinder away from the Brake Booster. A suitable lifting method must be used before raising and supporting the vehicle. Extract the crankcase oil level indicator tube by turning it counterclockwise during rotation. The installation requires replacement of the o-ring on the oil level indicator tube followed by engine oil lubrication. Help with tube insertion into the crankcase before the vehicle descent. The left Cylinder Head requires an installation of the oil level indicator tube bolt which must be torqued to 50 nm (37 lb in) prior to putting on the indicator itself. Place the Brake Master Cylinder onto the Brake Booster before installing its mounting nuts with 29 nm (21 lb ft) torque and attach the electrical connector for fluid level sensor detection. As the final step install the coolant surge tank.

Start the oil level indicator and tube replacement by disconnecting the oil level indicator and its bolt. Start by disconnecting the surge tank electrical connector of the fluid level indicator followed by removing its two nuts. Place the surge tank in a suitable position distinct from the master cylinder. The next task requires the master cylinder fluid level sensor electronic connector removal followed by master cylinder mounting nut extraction and relocation of the master cylinder from the Brake Booster area. The technician should raise the vehicle for support before removing the oil level indicator tube from the crankcase with counterclockwise rotation. Install the oil level indicator tube by replacing its o-ring followed by engine oil lubrication. The helper should guide the installation of the crankcase-mounted oil level indicator tube while the vehicle remains lowered. The left Cylinder Head requires installation of the oil level indicator tube bolt which must be tightened to 50 nm (37 inch lbs.). Secure the oil level indicator in its place by following installation of the Brake Master Cylinder at the Brake Booster. Tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts to 29 nm (21 ft. Lbs.). After that connect the electrical connector for the master cylinder fluid level sensor while also installing the coolant surge tank.

First, remove the oil level indicator and the oil level indicator tube bolt.

Remove the surge tank nuts and reposition the surge tank away from the brake master cylinder.
