    Q:
How to replace the rear door Weather Strip on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the rear door Weather Strip involves taking off the trim panels starting with the rear quarter lower (Impala) and rear quarter lower (Monte Carlo) then continuing with the rear quarter upper (Impala) and rear quarter upper (Monte Carlo) and finally the upper center pillar and lower center pillar. The next step requires pulling the Weather Strip off the pinchweld flange before removing it from the rear door opening. The installation of the new Weather Strip begins with placing it onto the pinchweld flange at the center of the rocker panel area before a clockwise rotation to achieve full seating. The rocker panel area must have no gap between joint butt ends that need to be situated right in the center. To complete the installation position the joint butt ends together then reinstall each trim panel starting with the rear quarter lower (Impala) followed by rear quarter lower (Monte Carlo), rear quarter upper (Impala), rear quarter upper (Monte Carlo), upper center pillar and then lower center pillar before closing the rear door.
