The replacement process for front door weather strips begins with removing the windshield upper garnish molding followed by seating the front seat to its forward and vertical position. Begin by removing the front seat track outer cover screws which should be followed by removing the covers together with the center pillar trim panels and the carpet retainer. The clips securing the I/P sound insulator panel need to rotate for removal followed by screw removal from the hinge pillar trim panel and panel removal. Apply gentle pressure on the upper inner point of the opening weather strip to break its attachment with the flange. Begin installation by placing the new opening weather strip at the upper inner corner before seating it to the flange with a rubber mallet. Replace the hinge pillar trim panel after tightening its screws fully into place without breaking them. You must return the I/P sound insulator panel by rotating its clips then put on the carpet retainer and center pillar trim panels followed by front seat track covers with cover screws. Complete the task by returning the front seat to its original position then reinstall the windshield upper garnish molding.

Reinstall the inner belt sealing strip, followed by the water deflector and the front door trim panel.

Begin at the upper rear corner of the door frame and insert the strip into the upper and both lower channels.
