How to service the EGR valve on 2000 Buick Century?

Service of the EGR Valve requires switching off the ignition system followed by removing the EGR Valve electrical connector. Free the EGR Valve pipe assembly by removing the bolt securing it then pull the pipe assembly backward with care. First detach the EGR Valve assembly including the gasket by removing its retaining bolts. To install the valve start by placing a new gasket on the Intake Manifold before fixing the EGR Valve into position. You should reinstall bolts passing through the EGR Valve before applying torque to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Place the pipe assembly to the EGR Valve before reinstalling the bolt while tightening nuts to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Reestablish the EGR Valve electrical connection as the last step.
