2000 Buick Century Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the engine flywheel on 2000 Buick Century?
A: Draining the automatic transaxle is the first step to replace the engine Flywheel. Secure the Flywheel against rotation while proceeding to loosen the six Flywheel bolts. Maintain a single bolt at the top position of crankshaft rotation and remove all other five bolts. Hold the Flywheel before removing its closing bolt to prevent dropping it from your grasp. Clean surfaces on engine bolt threads and holes after you remove the engine Flywheel together with its retainer. According to the fastener notice in service precautions start by installing the Flywheel retainer followed by the Flywheel. Fit the engine Flywheel bolts before torquing them to 71nm (52ft.lbs.) while reattaching the automatic transaxle.
