  A: Start the Lash Adjuster replacement by removing valve Rocker Arm covers followed by the upper and lower intake manifolds. The next step requires removing Rocker Arm bolts followed by valve rocker arms and push rod guide plates where all parts must stay organized for future reinstallation. Pull out the pushrod(s) and also remove the Lash Adjuster guide bolts and guide(s) and Lash Adjuster(s) from their locations. Clear all valve train components using degreaser before checking both the lash adjusters and cam lobe surfaces for damage. Dip all lash adjusters in prelube solution gm p/n 12345501 or equivalent then position them back to their original locations during installation. After Lash Adjuster guide installation insert the guide bolts and tighten them to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Follow installation by adding pushrods followed by push rod guides and valve rocker arms and closing with bolts. Put the lower Intake Manifold and upper Intake Manifold along with valve Rocker Arm covers back into place.
