How to replace the rear door power window switch on 2000 Cadillac DeVille?

The replacement process starts with a flat bladed tool inserted under the rear edge of the door switch plate to be certain the retainer clip is unlocked all the way. Firmly push the end of your tool towards the switch plate, disengage the clip, then pull up on the back of the switch plate to take it off the door trim panel. Remove the power window switch from the switch plate by prying open the side snap walls with a small flat bladed tool after you've disconnected the electrical connector. Fit the power window switch into the switch plate, plug in the wiring connectors, and push the switch plate onto the door trim, making sure all retainer clips snap in place.
