How to replace the rear door power window switch on Cadillac DeVille?

A flat bladed tool should be inserted under the rear edge of the rear door switch plate until the retainer clip becomes fully disengaged to avoid damage. Use the tool to maintain strong pressure that will detach the retainer before you can lift the rear part of the switch plate free from the door trim panel. Use a small flat bladed tool to disengage side snap walls from the power window switch so it can be removed from the switch plate after disconnecting all electrical connections. To reassemble the power window switch the operator should first connect the electrical connectors then place the switch plate back onto the door trim panel. Apply pressure to the switch plate front side against the door panel as you even out the retainer.
