    Q:
How to replace the power window switch on Cadillac Eldorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step towards replacing the Power Window Switch begins with inserting a 13 mm (0.5 in) wide flat-bladed tool to lift the rear edge of the trim plate. To disconnect electrical connectors and disengage the retention clip you must insert a blade 19 mm (0.75 in) into the door trim before firmly pressing the tool towards the switch plate for the lf door. After positioning the flat-bladed tool against the switch plate of the rf door it needs to be pressed until the retention clip becomes disengaged where complete disengagement prevents damage to the switch plate. Begin by pulling the tool upward while pressing towards the plate and remove the switch plate partially before disconnecting the electrical connector. The Power Window Switch, power Mirror Switch and memory function switch can be released from the back side of the switch plate by gently prying away the locking tabs. Installation requires insertion of memory function switch along with power Mirror Switch and Power Window Switch into the switch plate until locking tabs properly engage. Set the switch plate into the armrest of the trim panel and activate retention clips by pushing it downward at both ends. Finally connect electrical connectors to complete the process.

    Q:
How to replace the rear door power window switch on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for replacing the rear door power window switch includes extracting the switch bezel from the door trim panel by employing a flat-bladed tool. First disconnect the electrical connector from the window switch then remove the retaining clips which secure the power window switch to the bezel before switching the components. Start by placing the switch onto the bezel then carefully follow up by securing all retainers. Plug in the electrical connector to the window switch before reinserting the door trim panel window switch bezel with complete retention of the retaining clips.
