How to Service and Repair the Seat Motor on a Cadillac DeVille?

After disabling the SIR system you must remove the vehicle seat followed by taking off the seat cushion to reach the seat adjuster motors. Check which motor needs replacement between the rear vertical adjuster motor and the front vertical adjuster motor along with the horizontal adjuster motor . Remove both drive cables from the seat adjuster and disconnect its power connector. Before drilling the factory motor insert on the bottom side of the seat motor plate keep the seat on a dry surface. Use a 3/16 in drill bit to remove the factory motor insert. The new seat adjuster motor (1, 2, 3) goes onto the motor plate and achieves secure placement by mounting the motor insert into the motor grommet of the new motor then adding the bolt and tightening to 4N.m (36 lb in). Reconnect all electrical wires before installing the drive cables of the seat adjuster. Then attach the seat cushion and reinstall the seat back into the vehicle and enable the SIR system.
