  A: You must start the repair and servicing of the Canister Purge Valves by removing the bolts securing the engine sight shield and then removing the engine sight shield itself. The evap purge solenoid electrical connector should be removed along with the use of quick-connect fittings to disconnect the evap purge hose from the evap purge solenoid. Use a throttle to make it partially open before removing both the evap purge solenoid retaining bolt and the solenoid itself. You must install the new o-ring onto the evap purge solenoid in addition to partially opening the throttle before inserting the evap purge solenoid. Proceed to install the evap purge solenoid retaining bolt followed by torquing it to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Reconnect the evap purge hoses through the quick-connect fitting as well as the evap purge solenoid electrical connector while permitting the throttle to shut. Secure the engine sight shield along with its retaining bolts at 8 n.m required torque (70 lb in torque).
