You must uninstall the generator along with the canister purge solenoid to replace the generator brace. The vehicle requires the generator rear brace bolts to be removed before taking out the generator rear brace. Attaching the generator rear brace to the vehicle requires following service precautions fastener notice in the installation process. First install the generator rear brace bolts according to the specified torque value of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Install the generator together with the canister purge solenoid.
