The service process for Canister Purge Solenoid starts by removing both air cleaner outlet resonator and disconnecting the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve's electrical connector. Proceed by removing the mounting bracket attaching nut and disconnecting hoses from the solenoid valve. After separating the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve from the mounting bracket you can remove them both. Alignment of the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve should precede its installation with the attaching nut that needs to be tightened to 8-12 N.m (7-106 lb in). Reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator while you reconnect the electrical connector to the solenoid valve and remount the attached hoses back onto the valve.
