How to remove and install the Body Control Module (BCM) on 2000 Chevrolet Corvette?

You should switch off your ignition before extracting the Body Control Module because electrostatic discharge and BCM internal damage can happen. Start work by taking off the right-hand floor kick panel at the front. Lower the mounting tab and lift the BCM up from the bracket slots to unhook the upper mounting tabs. Take the BCM harness components out before taking the BCM unit from the car. Installation requires the ignition to stay off at all times. Align the upper tabs of the BCM with the bracket slots then join its harness connectors to BCM terminals and push the bottom tab into position until the BCM snaps into the bracket. Complete the installation by putting back the right-hand front floor kick-up panel. When you install either a fresh or replacement BCM, you need to set up the current vehicle model on the system through BCM Programming/RPO Configuration.
