How to replace the front brake disc on 2000 Chevrolet Corvette?

To change the front Brake Disc lift the vehicle and support it afterwards take off the tire and wheel. Keep your fingers away from the Piston area during compressed air usage because it poses a severe damage risk to your hand. For proper fluid drainage from the master cylinder push the Piston down into the brake caliper housing. It is important to reinstall all fasteners from the beginning to keep a vehicle under control and protect its occupants. First remove the brake caliper mounting bracket bolts then disconnect the combined brake caliper unit, controlling the disc for replacement activity. Use the hub cleaning kit (J 42450-A) to clean metal surfaces at the Brake Disc hub bearing area which stops brake pulsing from developing. First install the Brake Disc and afterward place the disc brake caliper mounting bracket with brake caliper as a single unit. Use new bolts to secure the brake caliper mounting bracket and tighten them to 175 nm strength. Put back the tire and wheel combination while tightening wheel nuts in their right order to 140 nm (100 ft. Lbs.). Position the vehicle on its ground before inspecting brake fluid levels while preventing movements until you find a strong Brake Pedal because brake system air leaks may harm you. When the engine runs press the Brake Pedal gently but firmly to place the pads correctly and you should apply drum breaks if needed.
