Following socket extraction from the lamp assembly you should remove the bulb from its socket when bulb replacement occurs. You should remove the taillamp from the vehicle next. The installation process starts by putting the bulb inside the taillamp socket followed by attaching the socket to the taillamp assembly. Follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions and place the taillamp assembly into its position on the rear fascia before tightening screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
